About the position

As a business development leader for Retail & Consumer Goods at AWS, you will shape and deliver strategies and solutions across various sectors, including health, beauty, fashion, grocery, and consumer durables. This role involves engaging with customer executives to align AWS capabilities with their corporate goals, overcoming challenges, and providing thought leadership to address industry issues. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance program delivery and development, ensuring the AWS Retail & Consumer Goods value proposition is effectively communicated and tracked.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engagements with customer executives to identify how AWS can transform their enterprise.
  • Work with customer account teams to understand and overcome specific hurdles faced by customers.
  • Provide thought leadership to solve significant challenges in the Retail and Consumer Goods industries.
  • Build methods to track customer impact and scale the AWS value proposition in these sectors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including corporate business development, solutions architects, marketing, and sales operations.

Requirements

  • Extensive technical sales or business development experience in Retail and/or Consumer Goods.
  • Management consulting or product management experience with a focus on solutions development.
  • Strong understanding of the technology landscape relevant to Retail and Consumer Goods.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and analytically about business and technical challenges.
  • Documented history of building and conveying compelling value propositions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience leading management consulting and/or technology implementations in the industry.
  • Experience with software and product development practices, including cloud computing fundamentals.
  • Tactical experience selling within the technology industry, particularly to Retail and Consumer Goods companies.
  • Domain knowledge of key applications and technology provider landscape.
  • Technical background in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or Science; MBA preferred.
