About the position

The Sr Business Development Specialist for Automotive Artificial Leather plays a crucial role in enhancing SSL's competitive position with assigned automotive OEMs. This position is responsible for driving strategy through acquisition activities, leading project teams, and ensuring project success via target-oriented project management. The role focuses on business growth through new project acquisition and supports the development and delivery of new model lines while ensuring profitability for assigned OEM projects across regions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business growth plans and acquire new business for assigned OEM(s)
  • Prepare tactical and strategic plans and budgets
  • Coordinate and communicate schedules and priorities for programs between manufacturing, R&D, tech service, sales, and customers
  • Develop, lead, and manage proposal presentations to OEMs; create project requests and business plans for OEM and internal approval
  • Handle commercial issues of assigned OEM including price negotiations and engineering changes
  • Maintain relationships with customers to promote SSL's interests at each program phase
  • Build the brand image of SSL
  • Conduct market and business opportunity analysis
  • Ensure SAP system is updated for accurate OEM forecast and reporting for all production events

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • 5+ years of professional experience in the automotive industry
  • Project management experience
  • Completed international projects
  • Demonstrated leadership skills as a project leader
  • Customer communication and negotiation experience
