About the position

The Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst at Benjamin Moore is responsible for defining, analyzing, and delivering effective BI solutions in collaboration with various business groups. This role focuses on utilizing tools such as QlikSense and Business Objects to enhance data management and reporting capabilities. The analyst will work closely with internal and external customers to ensure that their information needs are met through effective dashboard and report design, data governance, and project management.

Responsibilities

• Understand, partner, and empathize with customers to deliver effective information solutions.
• Interact and collaborate with project teams, IT colleagues, and business line contacts to meet client needs.
• Identify, define, and deliver complex programs and projects in a matrix environment.
• Resolve issues related to QlikSense, Business Objects, and related tools with business partners and IT teams.
• Develop and manage QVDs and QVFs, and build user-friendly data models for dashboards.
• Ensure adherence to data governance and best practices for data privacy and security.
• Participate in regular status meetings with project teams and lead as necessary.
• Gather requirements from business users and translate them into technical specifications.
• Analyze and troubleshoot reporting-related issues in a timely manner.
• Perform quality testing and beta testing of delivered applications.

Requirements

• College degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in Data warehousing and Business Intelligence/analytics.
• Strong experience using QlikSense, including visualization, connectors, and data modeling.
• Knowledge of application development using Oracle database SQL & PL/SQL; SAP BW/HANA experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with significant attention to detail.
• Effective interpersonal skills to participate in and lead virtual teams.

Nice-to-haves

• Business Objects experience is a plus.
• Prior BI experience is a plus.
• Experience working with a large data warehouse is a plus.
• Experience using QlikSense to connect to SAP BW/HANA, MSFT Dynamics, CRM, and third-party tools is a plus.
