The Sr. Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst role is pivotal in identifying business intelligence, reporting, and data analysis needs within the organization. Individuals in this position collaborate closely with clients and IT teams to transform data into critical information and knowledge that can facilitate sound business decisions. A deep understanding of the business is essential, enabling BI Analysts to identify and address critical issues effectively. They are responsible for providing accurate, congruent, and reliable data, ensuring that information is readily available for users, whether for direct consumption or integration with other systems. Furthermore, BI Analysts play a crucial role in educating and training clients on how to utilize data as an analytical tool, presenting information in innovative forms and content to enhance analysis and exploration of options. In their day-to-day responsibilities, BI Analysts engage with clients to ascertain business requirements and priorities, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and develop strategies for business intelligence and data lakes. This involves collaborating with business and development teams to design and document dashboards, alerts, and reports. They are accountable for leading initiatives that facilitate information gathering, structured documentation, and the presentation of findings to management at all levels. Conducting analyses of functional business processes and requirements is also a key aspect of their role, as is participating in the development of business cases to support process changes or IT projects.
