About the position

The Sr. BI Developer role at a leading entertainment company in Orlando, FL, is a freelance position designed to last for 2 months with the possibility of extension. This position involves working on a hybrid schedule, primarily onsite from Monday to Thursday, and focuses on the design, development, and support of business intelligence reports and dashboards to enhance business decision-making capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support business intelligence reports, dashboards, and queries.
• Solve complex technical problems related to business intelligence.
• Create testing methodology and criteria for BI tools.
• Design and coordinate training curriculum for customers on BI tools.
• Develop standards, policies, and procedures for BI tools and systems.
• Prototype efficient solutions and prepare test scripts for data reporting.
• Ensure quality, completeness, and timely delivery of work products.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for user community reporting requirements.
• Provide strategic technical project direction and work independently within a team.
• Estimate technical work effort for medium to large projects.
• Serve as an escalation point for technical problems.
• Identify strategic tools and processes for improvement within the team.
• Act as a technical lead on projects across multiple company domains.
• Stay updated with current trends in the technology market.

Requirements

• Domain knowledge in Food and Beverage Supply Chain including logistics, inventory management, and purchasing.
• Proficient in MicroStrategy Cloud and Agile Tools (Jira).
• Strong understanding of various relational database technologies.
• Ability to perform across all phases of system development for complex projects, including coding, technical design, and end-to-end testing.
• Ability to document work products and contribute to documentation across projects.
• Ability to identify problems or opportunities within the department's projects.
• Proficiency in multiple business intelligence technologies.
• Experience with project testing, implementation, and deployment activities involving multiple teams.
• Knowledge of report writing against Snowflake, Oracle, and MS SQL Server databases.
