The Senior Business Intelligence Developer at Johns Hopkins Health System plays a pivotal role in leading data analytics and performance measures within the organization. Reporting to a Data Trust Analytic Team Leader or other data governance leadership, this position is responsible for developing complex IT solutions to address organizational analytic challenges. The role involves creating Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, processing large datasets, and collaborating with various professionals to ensure effective data collection, reporting, visualization, and dissemination. The Senior Business Intelligence Developer will also engage in researching and planning analytic solutions, maintaining BI tools, and problem-solving to enhance decision-making processes across the organization. In addition to these responsibilities, the Senior Business Intelligence Developer will work closely with analytic teams and data engineers to plan new data architecture, suggest process improvements, and manage custom application development. The role requires strategizing scalable services for visualization tools and infrastructure design, ensuring that the BI applications are utilized effectively for informed decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of healthcare and hospital business operations, along with expertise in the interplay between business processes and Information Systems applications. This position is crucial for driving the organization's data-driven initiatives and enhancing overall operational efficiency. The candidate will be expected to maintain a high level of proficiency in BI development tools such as Tableau and PowerBI, as well as programming languages like R, Python, and SQL. They will also need to demonstrate strong project management skills and experience in working with external vendors.
