About the position

The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and management of analytical tools and reporting within the Ad Tech Sales and Services organization. This role aims to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of partner teams servicing advertising customers by providing actionable insights and analyses to inform business decisions. The position requires collaboration with a technical team to deliver scalable solutions and dashboards, while also engaging with stakeholders to explore data-driven opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and manage analytical tools and reporting solutions.
  • Collaborate with business intelligence and data engineers to deliver solutions to stakeholders globally.
  • Innovate based on stakeholder direction and proactively explore data opportunities.
  • Build scalable, automated, user-friendly dashboards using visualization tools.
  • Communicate and manage stakeholder relationships to address key business questions.
  • Partner with engineers and program managers to build data models that answer business questions.
  • Serve as a thought leader to guide programs in analytical best practices.
  • Question stakeholder requests to explore the value delivered and suggest pivots where necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, engineering, or related quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in an analytical function (business intelligence, analytics, data science, etc.).
  • 4+ years of experience conducting business analyses and presenting insights to upper management.
  • Advanced SQL proficiency.
  • Advanced experience in automated reporting using data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QuickSight).
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management systems (e.g., JIRA, Asana).
  • Experience in AdTech or knowledge of programmatic advertising and the digital advertising ecosystem.
  • Experience supporting customer-facing organizations such as sales and account management.
  • Highly proficient oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in large data warehouse environments.
  • Experience with writing technical documentation.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, statistics, mathematics, or related field.
  • Experience with at least one scripting language (Python, Java, C++, etc.).
  • Experience with Redshift, AWS Glue, or other ETL tools.
