About the position

As a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer at Amazon Prime Video, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of entertainment by collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative and scalable analytical solutions. Your work will involve building high-impact tools that address business needs, leveraging your expertise in data analysis, SQL, and AWS technologies to drive insights and support the growth of the business.

Responsibilities

• Drive the design, development, and maintenance of innovative and scalable intelligence solutions across the organization, ensuring high standards of analytical rigor and data integrity.
• Develop domain expertise and contribute to the data and research roadmap, utilizing SQL, ETL, and statistical modeling to uncover business insights and trends.
• Partner with data engineers and software development engineers (SDEs) to create best-in-class data architecture and pipelines for analytics needs.
• Translate ambiguous business problems into actionable analytical solutions, managing large-scale data requests and projects while coordinating with team members.
• Collaborate with scientists to convert business insights into experimentation, testing, and modeling.
• Mentor and develop other analytics team members.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional or military experience
• 5+ years of SQL experience
• Experience programming to extract, transform, and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
• Experience with the theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
• Experience with AWS technologies
• Experience in scripting for automation (e.g., Python) and advanced SQL skills
• Experience with information retrieval, data science, machine learning, and data mining
