About the position

The Senior Business/Product Analyst will coordinate and lead organizational analysis efforts within a mortgage client environment. This role focuses on identifying current capabilities, opportunities for improvement, and driving the measurement, prioritization, and implementation of these opportunities. The analyst will work closely with Product Owners to strategize and deliver product roadmaps, enhancing technology solutions that improve the mortgage loan process for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Leads organizational analysis efforts to identify current capabilities and opportunities for improvement.
  • Interact and coordinate with system developers and business subject matter experts on application changes, development, and deployment.
  • Gathers business requirements that affect technology systems and engage with technology partners to develop solutions through the technology change process.
  • Writes, communicates, and vets requirements and user stories with business leaders using various approaches such as use cases, activity diagrams, and data dictionaries.
  • Identifies and manages stakeholders and teams across functional areas to implement projects.
  • Works effectively inside a Scrum or Kanban team.
  • Comfortable documenting acceptance criteria.
  • Conducts and participates in Scrum ceremonies and retrospectives.
  • Creates and maintains system and user documentation.
  • Coordinates and conducts testing and user training.
  • Provides regular verbal and written reports to management.
  • Creates workflow diagrams and technical documentation.
  • Collaborates with Tech Leads and UAT to define when user stories are done.
  • Manages stakeholders and teams across functional areas to implement projects.
  • Coordinates risk assessment and uses output to help mitigate project risks.
  • Participates and leads backlog grooming sessions for ongoing roadmap planning.
  • Assists the Product Owner in strategy on delivering the product roadmap.
  • Plans, develops, oversees, executes, and certifies changes by establishing rigorous test plans and tracking results.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
  • Demonstrates behaviors aligned with the organization's desired culture and values.

Requirements

  • 4 Year college degree (Bachelor) or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of Agile experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong teamwork mentality, including mentorship of junior analysts.
  • Highly proficient in the G-Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.).
  • Data analysis experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of BI Tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools is required.
  • Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Must be able to work across multiple projects and collaborate with other teams to ensure timely deliverables.
