About the position

The position involves developing, managing, and evaluating key projects, programs, and initiatives from planning to post-implementation phases. Responsibilities include creating business plans, project charters, and performance metrics to support business objectives, ensuring organizational alignment with management models, and driving the integration of best practices. The role may require extended hours during storms or energy delivery emergencies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development, implementation, and evaluation of projects, programs, and/or business initiatives.
  • Manage scope, schedule, and budget for organizational projects and programs.
  • Coordinate and report on process/project/initiative assignments.
  • Coordinate work plans to implement corrective actions identified from performance assessments.
  • Support the establishment of business plans and objectives across multiple areas/departments.
  • Lead change management activities for projects, programs, and initiatives.
  • Participate in process improvement task forces and provide benchmarking analysis.
  • Understand business processes and provide guidance for end users.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a business or S.T.E.M. field with 4-7 years of related business experience, or 6-9 years of related business experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Comprehensive understanding of applicable standards, methods, processes, and practices in the specific functional area.
  • Advanced proficiency in standard software applications such as Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated business acumen with strong problem-solving, analytical, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
  • Ability to build consensus, establish trust, and communicate effectively.
  • Customer-driven with excellent written and oral communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or Master's degree in a business or S.T.E.M. field.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management practices and principles.
  • Certification as Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) or Six Sigma Black Belt.
  • Strong analytical skills for project evaluation including economic, financial, risk, and decision analysis.
  • Proficient in business case development and presentation to business unit leadership.
