In this role, you will reside on the Implementation team, implementing Credit and Collection strategy and policy changes. You manage business and technical requirements, design on a technical level, configure, implement and test strategies in the credit decision engine. You will provide support to other areas of Credit Risk, including, but not limited to outside departments such as Fraud, Activations, Manual Review, Sales and EPO. This position requires someone who can build strong working relationships and have ongoing interactions with external suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and analyzes business and operations workflow, decision process, and business objectives.
  • Configures, tests, audits, implements and monitors new and existing policy changes, data sources and strategies.
  • Develops, reviews, and updates internal, external, post-implementation documentation, including process flows, procedures, system flows, and change log ensuring thorough and accurate information.
  • Troubleshoots systems and integration issues by working closely with the appropriate resources to resolve them.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors appropriate controls to ensure defect free implementation of risk strategies including documentation, review and testing procedure.
  • Ensures that credit decision systems (account acquisition, portfolio management and collection) are operating efficiently.
  • Ensures appropriate requirements and solutions are developed based on a solid understanding of the impacted systems and standards.
  • Elicits and evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconciles conflicts, decomposes high-level information into details, abstracts up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguishes presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguishes solution ideas from requests.
  • Understands how policies, systems and processes impact requests/projects.
  • Shares business knowledge and understanding among business systems analysts and project partners.
  • Brokers consensus among partners with conflicting needs.
  • Facilitates requirement sessions with partners and creates comprehensive work products documenting technical requirements, including validation and traceability of requests.
  • Provides leadership and consulting support on complex tasks.
  • Initiates and implements initiatives to improve the processes, procedures, and tools used by the team.
  • Reviews results and provides input for other analysts.
  • Contributes to process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (i.e. Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related subject area).
  • 5-7 years experience in systems analysis with understanding strategic business information systems.
  • 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following: C, C#, Java, Python, Go, or scripting experience in Groovy.
  • 3+ years expertise in testing validation methods using SOAP REST API, with strong automation background.
  • Experience in SQL, shell scripting, and/or relational database design and development.
  • Debugging and troubleshooting experience using Splunk, AppDynamics, Prometheus, Grafana a plus.
  • Passionate about learning new technologies.
  • Experience in migrating to Cloud or Cloud Native environments a plus.
  • Experience working in an agile and DevOps environment a plus.
  • Experience on FICO platform to configure strategies a plus.
  • Ability to support on-call, work nights and weekends for deployments on a rotating basis.
