About the position

The Senior Category Demand Planner at Perrigo is responsible for enhancing SKU-level forecast accuracy and eliminating bias across various products and categories over a 36-month planning horizon. This role involves analyzing distribution and velocity demand factors, developing analytical insights, and driving consensus on demand assumptions with cross-functional teams. The position requires strong technical skills to mine large datasets, develop new tools, and implement process improvements, ultimately contributing to the company's mission of providing trusted health and wellness solutions.

Responsibilities

• Improve SKU-level forecast accuracy and eliminate bias across products/categories over a 36-month planning horizon.
• Analyze distribution and velocity demand factors, including market POS data, new/lost business, and service impacts.
• Develop reasons to believe in the demand signal (units & dollars) and drive consensus with cross-functional teams.
• Conduct robust investigations to develop insights and validate assumptions, highlighting gaps & exceptions.
• Complete root cause analysis on forecast error and collaborate with business partners on corrective actions.
• Lead monthly Category Demand Review meetings with Marketing and Commercial partners.
• Mine large amounts of data, develop new tools, and drive process improvements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of forecast/demand related analytical experience required.
• Ability to develop and apply forecasting methods with complex inputs from a variety of sources.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
• Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and able to navigate ambiguity.
• Excellent ability to obtain and analyze data, take initiative, and develop strong relationships with business partners.
• High proficiency in Excel and experience with forecasting software required.
