About the position

The Sr. Channel Manager for C&I Field National Accounts at Stanley Black and Decker is responsible for directing and coordinating strategic marketing activities to achieve business operating plans. This role involves overseeing profitability, promotion, pricing, merchandising, and new product plans while collaborating with various teams to develop growth initiatives and execute market communication strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate strategic marketing activities to achieve operating plans for the business.
  • Lead cross-functional work with Commercial, Product, Brand, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to develop strategic growth initiatives.
  • Present new products, merchandising, and promotional strategies and execute market communication plans.
  • Review brand and merchandising messaging to ensure compliance with overall channel strategy and recommend improvements.
  • Analyze and track POS, inventory, market share, and competitive landscapes; track program effectiveness and implement changes as needed.
  • Work closely with Sales and Finance teams to manage listings and maximize sales and profitability.
  • Make sound business decisions to drive top and bottom lines, understanding the channel P&L.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced team members and lead high-impact activities across the channel team.

Requirements

  • A minimum of eight plus (8+) years of Product, Sales and/or Marketing experience within the Retail space.
  • Solid analytical skills with a strong understanding of key business and financial metrics such as Sales, Gross Margins, Operating Margins, Inventory Turns, etc.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for problem-solving and commitment to excellence.
  • Project management, collaboration, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; effective communication with all levels of the business.
  • Experience navigating a complex organization and managing deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite and ERP Systems (SAP, BW, Salesforce, etc.)

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in channel marketing or management within a similar industry.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and tools.
