About the position

The Sr. Gas Processing/Hydrogen Process Engineer at Honeywell will play a crucial role in the development, innovation, commercialization, and execution of technology related to gas processing and hydrogen. This position focuses on enhancing design practices and tools to ensure competitive positioning in the marketplace, while also supporting technology specialists to build global expertise across the technology family.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and information to lower level engineers as a senior level engineering position.
  • Lead efforts to resolve technology issues and drive technology innovation.
  • Support technology commercialization to improve the portfolio and offerings.
  • Develop and improve technology-specific tools and infrastructure.
  • Provide engineering support for sales and proposals.
  • Develop, design, and support process simulation and Schedule A projects.
  • Mentor lesser experienced engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
  • 4+ years of relevant process and/or process design engineering experience in the Oil and Gas or Petrochemical Industries.
  • 4+ years of process simulation experience using Unisim and/or Aspen.
  • 2+ years' experience developing Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Process and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs).

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Experience developing Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, develop, and mentor others.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex and challenging problems.
  • Self-driven with a focus on improving current best practices or technology offerings.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong internal and external customer-facing skills.
  • Extensive experience using Process Simulation Software such as Unisim, Aspen.
  • Experience leading a technology area.
  • Experience in Gas Processing and Hydrogen technologies.
