About the position

The Sr. Citrix O365 Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, managing, and maintaining the Citrix platform, including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, as well as peripheral technologies. This highly technical and hands-on role requires collaboration with IT professionals to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability of the End User platform, with a focus on both on-premises and Azure-hosted resources.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, manage, and maintain the Citrix platform, including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, NetScaler, StoreFront, and control plane.
  • Manage peripheral technologies and devices utilized by the End User Services team, including Nutanix, Thin Clients, and various endpoints.
  • Oversee end-user technology projects, such as migrations, deployments, and introducing new technology solutions.
  • Maintain awareness of trends analysis to identify and escalate major incidents and problems quickly.
  • Leverage automation and workflows to manage routine tasks.
  • Develop, provision, update, and support Xen Desktop based Windows 11 VDI's and underlying images.
  • Provide Tier 3 internal support for escalations related to the End User Services environment.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and NetScaler ADC in a global environment.
  • Experience implementing and managing a VDI solution hosted in Azure.
  • Experience designing, deploying, and administering multi-site, multi-zone, and cloud-based Citrix environments.
  • Experience managing system and user configuration across large, distributed environments.
  • In-depth understanding of Active Directory, including GPO's and DNS as applied to the Windows client OS.
  • Strong understanding of VDI underlying hardware and hypervisors such as Nutanix and VMWare.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
  • Proficiency in scripting, with PowerShell as a priority.
  • Understanding of Digital Workspace Tools including Microsoft Office, O365, Box, and conferencing software (Zoom, MS Teams).
  • Ability to write technical and presentation management documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting mindset, including parsing event logs and utilizing System Internals tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
