About the position

The Senior Civil Designer position is a full-time role focused on site civil design projects within a thriving engineering firm. The role involves collaborating with a team to create plans, specifications, and construction contracts for various commercial and residential developments. The designer will work on diverse projects, including roads, paving, grading, drainage, and utility systems, while ensuring effective communication with clients and local agencies.

Responsibilities

• Take charge of site civil design projects.
• Collaborate with the team to create plans, specifications, and construction contracts.
• Work on commercial and single-family residential developments.
• Design and manage projects related to roads, paving, grading, drainage, water lines, and sanitary sewers.
• Communicate effectively with support staff, clients, and local agencies.

Requirements

• 4 or more years of relevant permitting and engineering experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, with preferences in HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Outstanding organizational skills.
• Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously.
