About the position

CTL Engineering is seeking a Sr. Civil/Site Engineer | Project Manager who will play a pivotal role in the design, planning, and implementation of site civil design and development projects. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and managerial skills, as the successful candidate will be involved in every stage of the design process, from initial concept development to final plan submittal. The role emphasizes collaboration with institutions and municipal agencies, ensuring that projects are executed seamlessly and meet the highest standards of performance. As the Design Lead, you will manage all aspects of your projects, including design and study development, as well as conducting site and field visits during both the design and construction phases. You will be responsible for overseeing your own projects while also assisting colleagues with their tasks, fostering a collaborative and cross-functional team environment. Responsibilities

  • Act as the Design Lead and/or Project Manager in all aspects of Civil/Site Development Design projects.
  • Work with the Teams and end clients to develop data, complete technical analysis, and prepare permitting and construction drawings, specifications, and quality control plans.
  • Develop Concept, Layout, Preliminary and Final Engineering Plans.
  • Develop and/or oversee the development of erosion/sediment control plans and utility/utility relocation plans.
  • Manage permit applications.
  • Complete/manage/serve as the technical expert in site layout, utility and grading plans, storm water analyses and reports, and site development permits.
  • Perform and/or oversee civil engineering analyses and numerical analysis using various computer software programs.
  • Determine hydrology, develop hydraulic/drainage and stormwater calculations, SWPPPs and obtain NDPES permits.
  • Participate in hands-on field observation & inspection of construction activities, particularly in regard to problem-solution scenarios.
  • Communicate with clients on deliverables.
  • Develop and/or oversee project proposals and Engineer's construction cost estimates.
  • Develop/manage schedules, budgets, and quality of work.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline.
  • 8+ years of Civil/Site Design experience.
  • PE credentialing is required.
  • Must have a valid driver license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Extensive knowledge of Civil Engineering principles and Project Management.
  • Proficient in using Auto CAD Civil 3D in various Civil/Site Design projects.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a very high level of professionalism.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and remain quality-focused.
  • Ability to be a team player and reliable.
