About the position

The Senior Client Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering implementation projects across multiple business units, ensuring successful project execution from inception to deployment. This role involves managing project timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communications while providing leadership to project teams and fostering collaboration among cross-functional teams. The position requires strong project management skills, leadership capabilities, and the ability to navigate complex client relationships to enhance customer satisfaction through technology solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site leadership for project team by motivating team members to meet project goals.
  • Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business.
  • Develop and manage all aspects of project engagement including planning, vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks, and issues.
  • Oversee full project life cycle ownership from initiation to deployment for major and minor initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment of multiple related projects with strategic objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse personalities and communication styles.
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Understand interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs.
  • Support client goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices.
  • Deliver effective communication across all project levels.
  • Develop trusted adviser relationships with stakeholders and customers.
  • Set and manage project expectations while delegating deliverables.
  • Continue professional development to stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices.
  • Provide peer leadership to less experienced project managers.
  • Make project decisions in consultation with business and customer leadership.

Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of project management experience, with at least 5 years leading large-scale customer implementation projects.
  • PMP Certification is required.
  • Experience in planning and implementing large-scale programs involving procurement, software development, and logistics using Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Implementation experience in delivering digital software solutions.
  • Ability to travel and be onsite for customer implementations (up to 30% of time).
  • Proven track record of managing mid to large size projects successfully.
  • Ability to organize, define project charters, and create a motivated team environment.
  • Highly skilled in formulating project budgets and tracking performance against them.
  • Effective facilitation skills for participatory decision-making.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative critical thinking skills.
  • C-level presentation and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Agile project management training and experience (certification is a plus).
  • Technical experience with full SDLC on software, digital, and mobile solutions.
  • Experience in IT Consulting or Big-4 IT Consulting is a plus.
  • Military experience is a plus.
