About the position

The Social Worker MSW, LISW position at OhioHealth is focused on ensuring organizational excellence in customer service and quality of care while enhancing the cultural experience at the assigned hospital. This role involves providing comprehensive services to patients and their families, including assessments, treatment planning, therapy sessions, and discharge planning. The clinician will work with at-risk populations and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, while also taking on advanced functions such as staff education, mentoring, and administrative responsibilities. The position requires the ability to work independently and manage high-stress situations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide biopsychosocial assessments and psychiatric diagnoses for patients.
• Formulate treatment plans and implement treatment interventions.
• Conduct therapy sessions for individuals, couples, families, or groups.
• Oversee discharge planning to enhance biopsychosocial functioning.
• Receive referrals from interdisciplinary team members including physicians and case managers.
• Perform staff education, development, and training.
• Mentor and supervise social work staff and interns.
• Assist the manager with administrative responsibilities such as scheduling and case assignments.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Social Work (Required).
• Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) certification.
• Ability to practice independently as permitted by the State of Ohio licensure.
• Experience in providing therapy and treatment planning.
