The Sr. Cloud Developer with FinOps position is a hybrid role based in Atlanta, Georgia, focusing on leveraging AWS cloud technologies to optimize costs and enhance financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FinOps engineering or software development with a focus on cost optimization projects. This role requires collaboration with both technical and non-technical partners, ensuring that financial practices align with engineering efforts. The candidate will be responsible for managing data and processes in various cost management tools, both third-party and internally developed, to drive efficiency and cost savings across the organization. In this position, the developer will investigate and implement cost-saving measures, which include resource optimization and efficient usage practices. They will also create and present educational documentation and training materials to various stakeholders, ensuring that all teams are aligned on financial operations and best practices. Conducting working sessions with finance, operations, and engineering teams to produce budgets and forecasts is a critical responsibility, as is providing recommendations on implementing FinOps practices and methodologies. The role also involves collaborating with engineering teams to drive optimization efforts from an architectural perspective. The developer will design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports for stakeholders at all levels of the organization, producing presentations on initiatives, statuses, and other relevant topics as needed. This position is a contract-to-hire opportunity, emphasizing the importance of data analysis and coding skills, particularly in Python, SQL, and API integrations, as well as experience with AWS cloud technologies.
