About the position

CTAC is seeking an innovative and talented Senior Cloud Engineer. This position is responsible for architecting, implementing, maintaining, securing, and supporting our client's cloud environments, DevOps workflows, and services. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, lead by example, and possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written. The role requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies, particularly within the Amazon Web Services (AWS) ecosystem, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members and clients to ensure the successful delivery of cloud solutions. In this role, the Senior Cloud Engineer will design, architect, implement, maintain, audit, and improve infrastructure, services, security, and applications. The candidate will also be responsible for project documentation and mentoring other team members on technology and processes. Participation in client audits is also a key responsibility, ensuring that the cloud environments meet compliance and security standards. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 7 years related work experience
  • Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environment (EC2, S3, RDS)
  • Advanced level of Linux experience (administration/hardening/compliance)
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals
  • Advanced linux scripting (Bash, Python, etc)
  • Experience with one or more infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc)
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment tools, services and methodologies (Jenkins, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, Git, etc)
  • Experience with configuration management (Puppet, Ansible, Chef, etc)
  • Experience with monitoring and metrics (Sensu, Nagios, CloudWatch, NewRelic, etc)
  • Ability to learn, understand and adapt new technologies

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with one or more audit and compliance tools (Nessus, Lynis, Config, etc)
  • Experience in delivering and maintaining a Zero Trust Architecture to a public sector client
  • Planning and provisioning a multi-tenant workspace offering virtual desktops to a diverse user base
  • Public sector contract experience
  • AWS and other Certifications
