About the position

The Sr. Cloud Enterprise Engineer (EAE) at AWS National Security is a pivotal role focused on providing technical guidance and advocacy to customers, ensuring they maximize the value of AWS services. This position is not sales-oriented but emphasizes being the principal technical advisor, helping customers adopt and utilize AWS technologies effectively. The EAE will engage with a diverse range of clients, from startups to Fortune 500 companies, and will be responsible for maintaining operational health in their AWS environments while driving strategic discussions with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Craft and execute strategies to drive customer adoption of AWS services.
• Provide technical guidance and advocacy to customers.
• Maintain operational health of customers' AWS environments.
• Engage with senior leadership regarding incidents and risk management.
• Understand customers' business needs and technical challenges to provide tailored solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical engineering experience in Compute, Storage, Networking, Databases, AI/ML, DevOps, Big Data, Security, or Applications Development.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, or related discipline, or 5 years of equivalent work experience.
• Experience as a technical lead in internal enterprise or external customer-facing roles.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Nice-to-haves

• 7+ years of technical engineering experience in three or more of the specified areas.
• Experience in Information Technology operations.
• Strong oral and written communication skills for presenting to decision makers.
• Experience in a 24x7 operational services or support environment.
• Familiarity with AWS services and/or other cloud offerings.
