About the position

The Sr. Cloud Security Architect is responsible for providing advanced technical and analytical skills to the Technology Research and Innovation team. This role focuses on ensuring the technical quality of cloud security deliverables and adherence to security standards, governance, and controls practices. The architect will work primarily with cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure, contributing expertise in cloud security technology, agile development, architecture, designs, systems implementation, and integration.

Responsibilities

• Provides Cloud Security Architectural development and assists with the automation of security for Cloud PoC environments (AWS and Azure).
• Contributes subject matter expertise advice in the areas of Cloud Security (End-point, application, network) with a focus towards automation of cloud security.
• Familiar with and has some experience with any CNAPP (Cloud native application protection platform) solution, knows how MDR solutions work.
• Familiar with SSE (Security Service Edge) and has experience working with Zscaler.
• Advises project teams during system development to ensure compliance with security policies, guidelines, standards, controls, and governance.
• Contributes to the cloud security strategy, vision, requirements, and solutions for DevX.
• Designs, develops, and implements new cloud security technologies as necessary to support Technology Research and Innovation team.
• Consults with application development teams to determine cloud security requirements and for planning and delivering automated cloud-based business solutions.
• Defines, publishes and maintains processes for security governance (i.e. compliance to principles, guidelines and standards).
• Conducts technical research when necessary to contribute to setting cloud security direction and strategy.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years experience in cloud security architecture, development, designs, integration.
• Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline or related experience preferred.
• Experience working with any CNAPP and Zscaler.

Nice-to-haves

• Deep knowledge and experience of cloud computing infrastructure, agile development, application development methodologies, best practices, and available and emergent services in several cloud provider environments including AWS and Azure.
• Current knowledge of cloud security technologies and architecture marketplace.
• Advanced analytical and technical skills - both breadth and depth.
