About the position

The Senior Commercial Account Executive at Marsh McLennan Agency is responsible for managing complex client insurance programs, serving as a primary contact for clients and vendors, and ensuring superior service delivery. This role involves overseeing account management tasks, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining strong client relationships while demonstrating technical expertise in insurance products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Client Insurance Program using the agency management system.
  • Act as the main point of contact with the Producer and vendors.
  • Maintain positive client relationships and analyze situations for proactive decision-making.
  • Manage Accounts Receivables and Direct Billing with respect to cancellations.
  • Prepare documents for renewal terms, including Insurance Proposals and Certificates of Insurance.
  • Perform quality checks on insurance policies and make recommendations for additional products/services.
  • Delegate and manage tasks given to the Account Manager and outsourcing teams.
  • Coordinate and monitor the usage and quality of outsourcing teams.
  • Negotiate with carriers on cost and program design.
  • Schedule and participate in client meetings, including mid-year and renewal meetings.
  • Analyze insurance quotes and communicate with clients and insurance carriers as needed.

Requirements

  • Licensed Texas P&C Agent
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 5+ years of Account Executive experience required
  • CIC & CRM, or CPCU preferred
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and current internet technologies
  • Ability to learn and analyze commercial lines of insurance
  • Demonstrated experience in client-facing roles
  • Ability to interact and collaborate with employees at various levels
  • Willingness to work beyond scheduled hours when necessary
  • Ability to travel to meet client service needs when necessary

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with premium analysis software
  • Knowledge of policy forms and endorsements
  • Ability to explain detailed coverage provisions to clients
