About the position

As a Sr. Communications Specialist supporting our Federal government client, you will be trusted to develop and implement project deliverables, including webinars, office hours, graphics, FAQs, briefings, and factsheets. This role will entail supporting and elevating Federal grant-funded projects, developing and implementing program-specific and cross-cutting communications strategies, and leading the team with best practices in brand standards, quality assurance, and cohesion among multiple stakeholders. You will work as part of a dynamic team remotely, ensuring that all communications are clear, effective, and aligned with the client's goals. In this position, you will lead the development of project deliverables, including SOPs, email communications, factsheets, FAQ documents, slide decks, office hours, and more, coordinating multiple rounds of content development and edits to capture the needs of multiple stakeholders. You will manage one junior communications staff member, delegating knowledge capture, technical editing, and more as needed, with the aim to support their overall growth and success. Additionally, you will oversee internal and external official programmatic communications regarding upcoming events, deadlines, and relevant materials. You will own the creation, execution, and follow-up of internal- and external-facing events from goal setting to lessons learned, coordinating all intermediary steps with internal and external stakeholders. Facilitating client-facing meetings will be a key part of your role, where you will build trusting relationships with honesty, accountability, and innovation. You will also analyze data from Baseline, Annual, and Semi-Annual performance reports to identify potential program success highlights and human interest stories, and develop the graphic design of training materials with an emphasis on adhering to brand and quality standards. Your role will also involve optimizing systems, processes, and policies as needed to improve stakeholder engagement and team integration, serving as the liaison between technical program expertise and public engagement efforts within intra-agency and inter-agency offices, and recommending options or solutions that meet the client's needs and desired outcomes.
