About the position

The Sr. Community Marketing Manager at Zip is responsible for strategizing, executing, and managing community efforts, particularly focusing on the Margin Makers community. This role emphasizes community engagement through events, thought leadership, and learning initiatives, aiming to foster a vibrant and interactive community for B2B professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute virtual and in-person community events, including monthly meetups and major events like Zip Forward.
  • Lead strategy and logistics for community events in various locations, such as New York or London.
  • Collaborate with events and marketing teams to ensure successful execution of community-centric events.
  • Develop and execute a robust community strategy for the Margin Makers community in collaboration with content and advisory teams.
  • Curate thought leadership content, including webinars and panel discussions, to highlight industry insights.
  • Build relationships with community leaders to feature their expertise through various content formats.
  • Manage the Margin Makers community forum to ensure active engagement and knowledge sharing.
  • Act as community moderator, facilitating discussions and providing guidance.
  • Develop user groups based on member roles or interests to foster connections.
  • Create initiatives to recognize community leaders through spotlights and recognition programs.
  • Support the promotion of Zip's learning and certification programs within the community.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in community management, marketing, or a related role within a B2B SaaS or technology company.
  • Proven experience in building and scaling online communities, focusing on content creation and engagement strategies.
  • Strong understanding of community platforms and tools for online discussions and event management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for facilitating conversations and building relationships.
  • Event planning experience across virtual and in-person formats.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with content, product, and marketing teams.
  • Familiarity with procurement, finance, or B2B industries is a plus.
