About the position

The Compensation Analyst at CommonSpirit Health plays a crucial role in supporting compensation programs from design to implementation and ongoing administration. This position requires a solid understanding of compensation practices, providing analytical insights to inform decisions related to base and variable pay. The analyst will be responsible for job evaluations, salary recommendations, and managing salary surveys to ensure internal equity and market alignment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytic support for compensation program management and implementation, including base pay administration and annual salary increase processes.
  • Conduct job evaluations and provide salary recommendations to ensure internal equity and market alignment.
  • Participate in salary surveys; analyze results, design salary structures, and create job families.
  • Ensure accuracy of compensation-related data maintained within company information systems and databases.
  • Support the delivery, education, and communication of the annual salary review and incentive processes.
  • Review requests for new or revised jobs to determine appropriate salary grade assignment and FLSA status.
  • Partner with the technology team to ensure continuous improvement of processes and technology in support of compensation programs.
  • Support Compensation Consultants and HR Business Partners in resolving compensation-related questions and making recommendations.
  • Participate in special projects, including executive compensation analysis, labor negotiations support, and M&A activities.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years progressive compensation or analytics experience (required).
  • A minimum of 5 years progressive compensation experience (preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field (required).
  • Certified Compensation Professional (preferred).
  • Demonstrated advanced level proficiency in Excel and HRIS applications using quantitative analysis, charting, pivot tables, formulas/algorithms, trend analysis, and graphing.
  • Direct work experience in compensation design, analysis & administration.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using word processing and presentation software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) is preferred.
