About the position

The Sr. Compensation Analyst at Veolia North America plays a crucial role in the design, development, and administration of the company's compensation programs and systems. This position is hybrid, allowing work from various locations including Houston, Boston, Paramus, or Milwaukee. The analyst will provide expert support to corporate and field HR teams on matters related to broad-based pay, incentives, commissions, and other compensation components. The role involves ongoing compensation analysis for HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and managers, ensuring that compensation practices align with the company's strategic goals. In addition to analysis, the Sr. Compensation Analyst will participate in various compensation project initiatives, contributing significantly to project deliverables. This includes supporting the administration of the Annual Merit and Incentive review processes, and collaborating with HRBPs and leadership to implement changes in company-wide compensation structures. The analyst will also be responsible for developing and documenting compensation procedures to enhance efficiency and streamline processes. The role requires the preparation of compensation data models and analytics, particularly in the context of mergers and acquisitions. The analyst will assist the Compensation team with diverse projects, including job architecture, program design, budgeting, and the implementation of new compensation programs. Managing the survey process is another key responsibility, which includes recommending new survey sources, tracking budgets, and resolving follow-up issues. The analyst will also oversee the Willis Towers Watson software system, ensuring data integrity and maintenance. Collaboration with HRIS and IT staff is essential to ensure that HRIS and payroll systems meet compensation needs, including planning, testing, and implementing system upgrades. The analyst will prepare communications regarding salary and bonus programs and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Overall, this position is integral to maintaining competitive and equitable compensation practices within Veolia North America.

Responsibilities

  • Completes compensation analysis for HRBP's and managers on an ongoing basis.
  • Participates in compensation project initiatives and plays a key role in the project deliverables.
  • Supports the administration of Annual Merit and Incentive review and processes.
  • Participates in review, analysis, creation and administration of company-wide compensation; works with HRBPs and leadership to roll-out changes within the organization.
  • Develops and documents compensation procedures to streamline processes.
  • Prepares compensation data models and analytics for mergers and acquisitions.
  • Assists the Compensation team on a variety of projects including job architecture, program design, analysis, budgeting, and implementation of new programs, when applicable.
  • Manages survey process by recommending new sources, tracking the survey budget, participating in surveys and resolving all follow-up issues.
  • Manages the survey participation process and analysis.
  • Manages the Willis Towers Watson software system including the uploading of annual survey results, ensuring the integrity of the data in the tool, maintenance of system, etc.
  • Works with HRIS and IT staff to ensure that the HRIS and payroll systems meet compensation needs; assists with planning, testing and implementation of system upgrades and changes.
  • Prepares communications for salary and bonus programs.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Performs related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business administration or a related field.
  • At least five (5) years of progressive experience in the analysis, design, implementation and administration of compensation programs.
  • Experience with Success Factors preferred.
  • Strong computer skills required; proficiency in Google Suite with intermediate to advanced Sheets/Excel skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong math skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends and provide recommendations.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of management.
  • Strong knowledge of FLSA and EEO regulations required; general knowledge of State and Federal wage laws.
