About the position

The Global Sr Compensation Analyst provides operational support in the administration of Global Compensation programs for Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies to attract, motivate, develop, reward, and retain key talent. This role encourages a constructive dialogue amongst Global Human Resources and other business functions in the alignment of global compensation programs with business objectives, as well as to support the implementation, administration, and management of concentrated tools and processes. This position is crucial in ensuring that the compensation strategies align with the overall business goals and objectives, thereby enhancing the organization's ability to attract and retain top talent in a competitive market. In this role, the analyst will support and at times lead the design, development, analysis, and administration of global compensation programs, policies, and procedures. This includes working closely with Human Resources staff on determining classifications and pay levels for positions, ensuring compliance with country/state/local regulations, and maintaining internal equity and external competitiveness. The analyst will participate in key compensation cycles, studies, and projects, creating reports and maintaining data to monitor global compensation activity. Additionally, the role involves participating in various global salary surveys and other data exchanges to support compensation analyses, utilizing advanced knowledge of compensation theory and practice to provide analytical support in broader areas of Total Rewards. The essential duties include supporting and leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of global compensation structures for all countries, administering global compensation programs, conducting job evaluations, market job pricing, and internal equity analyses. The analyst will also conduct analyses related to cost and trends, support the annual salary budget process, and assist with the design and administration of short and long-term incentive plans. Furthermore, the role requires providing consultative assistance to HR partners and management on global total rewards issues and concerns, ensuring operational excellence in the execution of global Total Rewards programs, and documenting processes for standardization and automation where possible.

Responsibilities

  • Support and lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of global compensation structures for all countries.
  • Provide support and lead administration of global compensation programs, including annual compensation program review and annual salary review process.
  • Create and modify salary structures and guidelines.
  • Prepare total compensation recommendations.
  • Conduct research, analysis, and recommendations for new and revised plans and programs that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends.
  • Perform job evaluations, market job pricing, internal equity analyses, and plan effectiveness analyses.
  • Conduct analyses related to cost and trends and provide analytical data management support for measurement and tracking of key compensation metrics.
  • Support the annual salary budget process, providing country and associate group merit increases and promotions.
  • Support the design and administration of short and long-term incentive plans.
  • Document processes and ensure standardization and automation where possible.
  • Provide support to simplify and ensure operational excellence in the execution of global Total Rewards programs.
  • Provide consultative assistance to HR partners and management on global total rewards issues and concerns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Minimum 5 years' progressive compensation experience.
  • Experience in broad-based global compensation programs.
  • Experience in building and leveraging cross-functional relationships with Human Resources, Finance, and Legal.
  • Skilled knowledge of global compensation plans, laws, and regulations including FLSA, EEO, and other wage and hour rules.
  • Strong experience working with submitting and analyzing survey data from global survey houses.
  • Strong experience with HR/Payroll systems (preferably SuccessFactors) and Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Strong analytical ability and customer service focus.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong process improvement and project management capability.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated presentation/facilitation skills.
