About the position

The Sr. Compensation Analyst is responsible for leading the compensation function and supporting VP, Talent with compensation and total rewards strategy and initiatives. This role will also support building compensation functions in HRIS during system conversion. This role serves as the subject matter expert for Carson's compensation programs while benchmarking compensation, analyzing data, and ensuring that total rewards programs align with the company's strategic objectives and comply with legal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market analysis of Carson jobs to determine and maintain competitive and fair pay levels through pricing tools and industry surveys.
  • Guide business leaders through annual salary administration programs, including salary structure creation and maintenance, and salary modification during performance reviews.
  • Lead compensation structure, variable compensation plans and mapping for acquired offices.
  • Analyze job descriptions and evaluate positions to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
  • Support VP, Talent in the ongoing development of salary structures and compensation guidelines.
  • Assist Carson Wealth Partners with compensation structure questions.
  • Build and maintain compensation structures, data dashboards, and other compensation functions in HR systems as needed.
  • Lead ongoing Position Management process (Handling job requests, pricing, creating job in the system and updates as needed).
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret total rewards data through surveys and internal systems.
  • Prepare detailed reports and dashboards to support business decision-making processes.
  • Conduct compensation audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance with internal and external standards.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in compensation or total rewards analysis.
  • Background in job pricing tools and salary survey administration.
  • Background in variable plan design and administration.
  • Experience administering compensation programs in HR systems.
  • Self-motivated professional who demonstrates initiative, flexibility, teamwork and a sense of urgency.
  • Able to build collaborative relationships across business divisions and with every level of stakeholder.
  • Strong data management skills with the ability to manipulate and interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Organized, detail oriented, able to multi-task and to work with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable handling complex problems and escalating high-level issues to manager.
  • Skilled with Microsoft Excel and proficient with other Microsoft Office Suite programs.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to compensation.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality with sensitive stakeholder information.
  • Intrinsic and intentional customer service skills, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Bachelors degree in a Business Administration, Human Resources field or related field required.

Nice-to-haves

  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification or desire to complete certification is preferred.
