About the position

The position involves conducting comprehensive analysis to support various programs, salary planning, procedures, and processes within the organization. The role requires proactive engagement with key stakeholders, making recommendations based on data and analysis to enhance decision-making processes. A significant aspect of the job includes participation in the annual salary survey process, where the incumbent will analyze results and market trends while managing vendor relationships for the market pricing system. Additionally, the role encompasses conducting job evaluations across all areas and levels of the company, providing guidance and consultation to clients regarding job leveling and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) exemptions. The individual will oversee the corporate performance management process, ensuring that all key processes, policies, communications, and collaborations with stakeholders are effectively managed. The position also involves managing annual and special projects, serving as a project lead, and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure successful project completion. The incumbent will be responsible for analysis and reporting needs related to compensation initiatives, including preparing reports for executives. Furthermore, the role includes supporting the management of job descriptions, overseeing the annual review process, and reviewing job descriptions for potential improvements and enhancements, such as system capability and formatting.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis to support a variety of programs, salary planning, procedures, and processes.
  • Proactively make recommendations to key stakeholders based on data and analysis.
  • Participate in the annual salary survey process, analyzing results and market trends and managing the vendor relationship for our market pricing system.
  • Conduct job evaluations for all areas and levels across the company, providing guidance and consultation to clients on leveling and FLSA exemption.
  • Oversee the corporate performance management process including all key processes, policies, communications, and collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Manage annual and special projects as assigned, serving as a project lead, and collaborating with all key stakeholders to ensure successful completion.
  • Responsible for analysis and reporting needs related to compensation initiatives, including reporting for executives.
  • Support the management of job descriptions, including oversight of the annual review process and reviewing for improvement and/or enhancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • 4 years of professional work experience in a corporate environment is considered equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of experience in Human Resources with a focus on compensation required.
  • 3 years of project management experience required.
  • Strong skill level in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent knowledge of compensation principles & practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to multi-task while remaining focused on accuracy.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Must be a team player, be organized and have the ability to handle multiple projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience participating in salary surveys (i.e. Mercer, Radford).
  • Experience benchmarking and market pricing Information Technology roles.
  • Experience leading compensation projects, including training and education focused initiatives.
  • Experience managing and/or assisting with a corporate performance management process.
  • Certified Compensation Professional or actively working toward certification.
