About the position

The Senior Compensation Analyst at Textron will be instrumental in overseeing various compensation activities that are crucial for the company's operational success. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including salary analysis, market pricing, and salary administration. The ideal candidate will leverage their analytical and project management skills to support the development, execution, and management of comprehensive compensation programs across multiple business units. This position is not only about maintaining competitive compensation structures but also about ensuring compliance with financial, tax, and proxy disclosure requirements, which are essential for the integrity of the compensation process. In this role, the Senior Compensation Analyst will conduct thorough research and analysis to identify gaps and opportunities within the current compensation practices. They will be responsible for organizing and executing the annual compensation planning cycle, which includes timely communication with stakeholders and configuring compensation management systems to ensure accurate data input and reporting. Benchmarking jobs against survey data and market intelligence will be a key task, allowing the analyst to determine competitive compensation ranges and identify market trends that can inform strategic decisions. Collaboration is a significant aspect of this position, as the analyst will partner with various departments, including finance, accounting, legal, and tax, to ensure that all employee compensation practices are compliant with regulatory and legal standards. Additionally, the analyst will support the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors by providing insightful analysis and reporting. The role also involves leading project teams to develop innovative solutions and recommendations that enhance the overall compensation strategy. The Senior Compensation Analyst will perform additional duties and special projects as assigned, contributing to the continuous improvement of Textron's compensation programs.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation, management, and enhancement of compensation programs for multiple business units.
  • Conduct job evaluations, performance appraisals, and salary surveys.
  • Administer salary increases and oversee long- and short-term incentive plans.
  • Ensure compliance with financial, tax, and proxy disclosure requirements.
  • Conduct research, reporting, and analysis to identify gaps and opportunities in compensation practices.
  • Organize and execute the annual compensation planning cycle, including communication with stakeholders.
  • Configure compensation management systems for accurate data input and reporting.
  • Benchmark jobs against survey data and market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges.
  • Research, evaluate, and participate in external compensation surveys.
  • Partner with finance, accounting, legal, and tax departments for regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in resolving internal and external business issues related to compensation.
  • Support the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors through analysis and reporting.
  • Drive awareness of new compensation trends to support business unit compensation teams.
  • Lead project teams to develop recommendations and innovative solutions.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Analytics, Business, Finance, Math, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in an analytical role.
  • Strong research and analytical skills; ability to present findings to management.
  • Advanced computer skills, including strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the organization.
