About the position

As a Senior Compensation Analyst at Insight Global, you will play a crucial role in managing the university's compensation programs on a day-to-day basis. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure internal equity and competitiveness with the external market. This position requires a strong background in executive compensation and Total Compensation (TCC) experience. You will be expected to leverage your expertise in data analysis, particularly in creating spreadsheets, forecasting compensation, and developing pivot tables to make informed recommendations and reports. In this role, you will assist in the creation of presentation decks for various positions, ensuring that the data and insights you provide are suitable for executive review. You will also be involved in year-end processes, bonus cycles, and the analysis of job structures and categories. Conducting research to provide insights and information to the board of trustees regarding compensation practices in similar organizations will be a key part of your responsibilities. As an internal consultant, you will provide guidance and expertise to university partners, helping them achieve their business goals through effective compensation strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the university's compensation programs to ensure internal equity and competitiveness with the external market.
  • Create and analyze spreadsheets and pivot tables for compensation forecasting.
  • Develop presentation decks for executive review based on compensation data and analysis.
  • Assist with year-end processes and bonus cycles related to compensation.
  • Conduct job structure and category analysis to inform compensation decisions.
  • Research and benchmark compensation practices against similar organizations for the board of trustees.
  • Provide expertise and guidance to university partners to help achieve their business goals.

Requirements

  • Senior level compensation analyst experience.
  • Previous executive compensation experience.
  • Total Compensation (TCC) experience.
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and pivot tables.
  • Experience with data analysis, salary surveys, and compensation programs.
  • Experience in job analysis and determining appropriate salary and compensation.
  • Ability to analyze and make salary adjustment recommendations for various scenarios.
  • Experience with salary surveys, accurately benchmarking jobs, and submitting data to providers.
  • Experience preparing ad hoc compensation data requests and reporting.
  • Experience working with a large number of employees across varying job titles and experience levels.
  • Proficiency in using Compa ratios in Excel.
  • Experience with complex organization design and providing compensation analysis at various levels.
  • Knowledge of compliance related to public compensation.
