About the position

The Sr. Compliance and Privacy Analyst at San Juan Regional Medical Center is responsible for ensuring that the organization adheres to all relevant compliance and privacy regulations. This role involves conducting audits, developing policies, and providing training to staff to promote a culture of compliance and privacy awareness within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Conduct compliance audits and assessments to ensure adherence to regulations.
• Develop and implement compliance and privacy policies and procedures.
• Provide training and support to staff on compliance and privacy matters.
• Monitor changes in regulations and update policies accordingly.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as healthcare administration, law, or business.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance and privacy roles, preferably in healthcare.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and other relevant compliance standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Certification in healthcare compliance (CHC) or privacy (CHPC).
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Familiarity with risk management practices.
