About the position

The Senior Configuration Management Analyst at Leidos Defense Systems Sector plays a crucial role in managing product design changes and ensuring the integrity of configuration management processes. This position involves working independently to solve complex technical issues, supporting various teams throughout the product lifecycle, and maintaining compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations.
• Develop solutions to complex technical issues impacting multiple areas or disciplines.
• Create and review contents of CDRLs, SDRLs, item records, change records, and other items in a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
• Execute Configuration and Data Management processes and controls in accordance with company policies and industry standards.
• Write and maintain documents such as CM corporate policies, Configuration Management plans, and audit forms.
• Oversee CM team members regarding solution design, processes, and approaches.
• Support tasks in a dynamic environment, collaborating with CM, engineering, manufacturing, quality teams, and customers.

Requirements

• 4-year degree in a relevant field and 8-12 years of relevant experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with at least 15 years of applicable experience.
• Detailed knowledge of configuration change management principles and record types.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, software, and other CM practices as per industry standards.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools such as Agile PLM, Oracle Agile, or PTC Windchill.
• Knowledge of bill of materials, technical documents, product drawings, and specifications.
• Proficiency in Computer Aided Design (CAD) software such as CREO or Solidworks.
• Proficiency in Product Data Management (PDM) systems such as Windchill or Solidworks PDM Pro.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products and Adobe PDF editing software.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with NDIA CDM, CMII, or other Configuration Management/Data Management certification.
