The Engineer Sr, Network Connectivity Solutions is a highly knowledgeable professional responsible for developing IT infrastructure solutions and standards that meet or exceed business performance expectations. This position will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of ship to shore communications and data transport, global wide-area network routing, network security, cloud networking, and data center networking to achieve and sustain world-class Shipboard Communications and services for the Carnival Corporation fleet, as well as all shore-side locations. The role involves creating detailed solution designs and documentation that support the development, implementation, and operations of enterprise-class networks used globally across ship and shore locations. In this position, the engineer will report directly to the principal architect and will be involved in designing new solutions for both new and ongoing projects. The engineer will assist the deployment team in engineering and deploying solutions, which may include establishing connectivity for remote offices and ships. The role may also require level 4 troubleshooting for P1 situations, particularly in routing and troubleshooting tasks. This position supports cross-departmental collaboration and internal communications with staff throughout the organization and service providers while promoting a positive work environment that supports consistency and drives efficiencies.
