About the position

The Senior Construction Director is responsible for overseeing construction management services in the multifamily sector within the assigned region. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including clients, property managers, and vendors, to ensure compliance with construction codes and regulations while managing renovation and structural projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present upcoming proposed projects for both existing and new clients.
• Ensure compliance with all code requirements and regulatory agency laws.
• Oversee repairs, renovations, and paint practices in accordance with EPA regulations for Lead Based Paint.
• Prepare and file all necessary permits and documentation properly.
• Address corrective notices from inspecting authorities and ensure compliance within set timeframes.
• Complete management reports within specified deadlines.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant building codes associated with projects.
• Collect and oversee bids for capital projects as requested.
• Provide written records of job progress and maintain up-to-date documentation.
• Track invoices and collections for the construction management department.
• Analyze contracts and monitor project accounting systems for costs and cash flow.
• Evaluate and assess budgets as requested.
• Attend budget meetings with clients and property managers as necessary.
• Assist with client communication and tours as needed.
• Be available for major emergencies after normal business hours.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction management, particularly in multifamily projects.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations.
• Experience with project budgeting and financial analysis.
• Ability to prepare and present project proposals effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with EPA regulations and compliance related to construction projects.
• Familiarity with Lead Based Paint regulations.
• Previous experience in a managerial role within construction.
