About the position

The Sr. Consultant, Data Architecture at Lincoln Financial Group is responsible for leading the architecture of complex data solutions both on AWS cloud and on-premises. This role involves collaborating with various technologies and stakeholders to design and implement data architecture that aligns with business strategies and requirements. The consultant will also oversee enterprise-level deliverables and ensure compliance with architecture standards while promoting process improvements and effective data management practices.

Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert in data architecture and lead the design of complex data solutions.
• Maintain knowledge of current and emerging trends in data architecture and assess their impact on solutions.
• Direct and enhance organizational initiatives by supporting change management efforts.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality across teams and departments.
• Provide subject matter expertise to team members and stakeholders on complex projects.
• Collaborate with business partners and other architects to assess the current data landscape and simplify architecture.
• Ensure integrity and security of data architecture and measure the impact of solution designs on IT infrastructure.
• Design scalable solutions for hosting and integrating large amounts of data on AWS Cloud.
• Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture designs.
• Conduct product and application assessments and guide them through governance processes.
• Ensure adherence to architecture standards and best practices across projects.
• Champion efforts to revitalize and redesign information systems to improve effectiveness.
• Communicate effectively with business partners and management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
• 5 - 7+ years of experience in designing and developing operational data stores, data warehouses, and data marts.
• Experience in data acquisition, modeling, extraction, transformation, and loading.
