About the position

The Sr. Consultant, Project Management at Lincoln Financial Group is responsible for providing subject matter expertise and direction on complex projects and initiatives. This role involves leading enterprise-wide, cross-functional initiatives, managing project lifecycles, and ensuring operational efficiency improvements. The consultant will collaborate with various stakeholders to analyze project plans, monitor progress, and resolve issues, ultimately aiming to enhance the capabilities of their assigned areas of responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Directing and enhancing organizational initiatives by providing direction on complex assignments, projects, and/or initiatives.
  • Executing complex and effective project management throughout the project lifecycle, including project planning, resource planning, change management, and communications planning.
  • Ensuring that project schedules are accurate, updated, and reflective of the required project effort.
  • Directing and delivering complex projects conforming to project management standards and processes.
  • Providing subject matter expertise to team members and stakeholders on complex assignments/projects.
  • Identifying key cross-functional issues and project synergies; providing guidance with specific project issues.
  • Collaborating effectively with management and project stakeholders on complex issues and risks.
  • Analyzing project plans to validate if outcomes will meet business needs and recommending mitigation plans.
  • Monitoring and evaluating project progress and performance against the project plan.
  • Identifying and resolving complex project issues to minimize delays.
  • Facilitating project/program communications with sponsors and other leaders/contributors.
  • Utilizing influence skills and extensive experience to help achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Serving as a mentor and sharing expertise with project managers and team members.

Requirements

  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's).
  • 5 - 7+ Years of experience in Project Management that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position.
