About the position

The Sr. Consultant- UX role at MFS is focused on designing intuitive and efficient user interfaces for applications and platforms. The position involves collaboration with cross-functional agile teams to understand business requirements and user needs, translating them into user-centric design solutions. The role aims to enhance user experience through usability, online experience, and client personalization efforts, while also developing the UX strategy maturity.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners and agile teams to understand business needs and technology ecosystem.
• Design compelling user interfaces (wireframes, mockups, and prototypes) for technology applications and platforms using design software like Sketch and Adobe XD.
• Ensure design consistency through adherence to technology guidelines and best practices.
• Develop detailed user journey maps and personas through user research and existing data.
• Lead user research initiatives and usability testing sessions to improve technology designs.
• Participate in external client feedback sessions as needed.
• Lead roadmap planning and prioritization.
• Create and evolve design systems in collaboration with agile teams.
• Perform application heuristic reviews and readouts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience as a UX Designer focused on technology applications.
• Proficiency with design software, preferably Sketch and Adobe XD.
• Experience in user research and usability testing initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience working with Scrum teams and Agile methodology.
• Experience presenting and communicating designs to stakeholders.
• Experience working on enterprise-system applications.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience in the financial services industry or a regulated industry, preferably in asset management.
• Experience in B2B user design.
• Experience with multiple distribution and client-facing platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Adobe, Seismic).
