About the position

As a Senior Content Designer at PayPal, you will play a pivotal role in shaping content strategy and ensuring editorial quality across various product delivery teams. This leadership position involves collaborating with UX Designers, Product Managers, and Researchers to create user experiences that empower consumers and businesses globally. You will influence company-wide content strategies, oversee large-scale content initiatives, and advocate for best practices in content design, ensuring consistency and quality across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Define the vision for content design and engage with stakeholders.
• Drive strategic direction for content in your product area.
• Ensure content implementation aligns with strategy and PayPal standards.
• Use data and customer feedback to measure content effectiveness and adapt as needed.
• Collaborate with the Content Foundations team to develop content strategy frameworks and guidelines.
• Coordinate with Brand, Marketing, and Operations teams for a consistent experience.
• Evaluate content impact using data and research for continuous improvement.
• Maintain best practices in grammar, messaging, and writing style.
• Demonstrate how content fosters meaningful customer relationships.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience writing for multiple channels and platforms.
• Proven track record of delivering high-impact content solutions and strategic insights.
• Experience managing or mentoring writers.
• Strong understanding of customer journeys through research and data analysis.
• Expertise in design thinking for product development.
• History of positioning content as an engagement tool.
• Ability to navigate organizational obstacles and build partnerships.
• Experience in financial services, payments, B2B or B2C e-commerce is preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in relevant fields.
