About the position

As a Senior Content Designer at Spectrum, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience by crafting in-product messaging and UX writing across various platforms, including mobile applications and responsive web applications. You will collaborate with a diverse team of product designers, UX researchers, and developers to create engaging content that aligns with Spectrum's voice and tone standards, ultimately contributing to innovative customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Craft in-product messaging and UX writing for mobile and web applications.
• Enhance user experience by creating product copy, instructional text, UI labels, and error messaging.
• Ensure consistent cross-product messaging across all digital channels.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to meet business and technical requirements.
• Create and adhere to voice, tone, style, and brand content guidelines.
• Incorporate editorial feedback from stakeholders and peers into designs.
• Advocate for the best customer experience and own the content/voice/tone of assigned products.

Requirements

• 6-8+ years of writing experience with at least 50% focus on UX writing.
• Experience with common productivity and design tools (e.g., MS Office, Adobe Creative Cloud).
• Understanding of basic UX/product design principles.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management skills and ability to be self-directed.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with design and prototype tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities with a focus on clarity and consistency.
• Knowledge of organizing and structuring content to enhance usability and accessibility.
