About the position

The Sr. Content Strategist at McKesson will be responsible for developing go-to-market content and amplification plans that align with the marketing strategy and enhance engagement. This role requires a collaborative approach to create and optimize content across various platforms, including web, email, and social media, to support the brand and business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Create marketing plans to launch programs, products, and solutions.
  • Outline, author, and manage promotional material development to support product launches, including email, video, sell sheets, and newsletter articles.
  • Partner with field sales on initiatives that engage prospects and current customers, providing the sales team with information, content, and tools to sell more effectively.
  • Collaborate across multiple business units, program owners, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure alignment.
  • Organize, coordinate, track, and communicate project timetables, deadlines, and approvals with stakeholders and the production/design team.
  • Track and report performance for marketing campaigns and projects, outlining key learnings and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Establish and reinforce brand strategies and tactics across channels such as websites, social media, digital tools, and print materials.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of marketing, content, and/or communications experience.
  • Demonstrated outstanding written, verbal, and presentation communications skills.
  • Experience developing and executing successful marketing communications campaigns.
  • Excellent organization, execution, and project management capabilities with attention to detail.
  • Experience with marketing automation systems such as Marketo.
  • Broad knowledge of web content development and SEO, digital publishing, email, and social media best practices.
  • Proficient at managing multiple projects with tight and often competing deadlines.
  • Vendor resource management experience.
  • Strong ability to act independently with sound business judgment and emotional maturity.
  • Excellent listening skills and ability to build cross-functional relationships and influence without authority across all levels and functions.
  • Experience partnering with field sales and using Salesforce (SFDC).
