About the position

The Contracting Analyst is responsible for reviewing and negotiating contracts to meet business objectives while adhering to company policies. This role involves comprehensive reviews of supplier contracts and internal templates, ensuring alignment with business needs and legal standards. The position supports various procurement project stages and addresses vendor performance issues, making it crucial for effective contract management.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with internal legal counsel and risk team to negotiate with suppliers on data security, privacy, legal compliance, and commercial terms.
  • Ensure timely review, approval, or reconciliation of contract variations and communicate contracts to relevant parties for visibility.
  • Serve as the point of contact for internal stakeholders on contractual matters, advising on rights and obligations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and negotiator between internal project teams, stakeholders, and suppliers to manage issues and execute contracts.
  • Research, recommend, and create contract policies, procedures, and clauses.
  • Assist in maintaining a contract repository and monitor critical contract terms for proactive management.

Requirements

  • Proven success in managing a high-volume workload.
  • Experience in reviewing, revising, and annotating contracts using templates and clause libraries.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Effective negotiation, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work within a team and with various departments.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
