About the position

As a Senior Copywriter in the Premium Content team within the Brand Innovation Lab, you will be at the forefront of creating innovative, one-of-a-kind campaigns for a diverse array of global brands. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver clear and compelling narratives and copy for our advertisers, ensuring that each campaign resonates with the target audience. You will collaborate closely with art directors, designers, solutions managers, strategists, producers, and sales partners to push the creative envelope and develop unique work that leverages the Amazon canvas, including platforms like Alexa, Twitch, and Prime Video. This role is not just about writing; it’s about leading projects and nurturing client relationships, all while focusing on creating work that benefits the end customer. In this dynamic environment, you will utilize data and insights to inform your campaign strategies and concepts. Your tasks will include writing copy, developing scripts, and creating templates for brand experiences that are unprecedented in their execution. You will need to demonstrate strong conceptual thinking, presentation skills, storytelling abilities, and project management expertise, all while maintaining an acute attention to detail. Your portfolio should showcase a variety of interesting, insight-driven campaigns that effectively solve advertiser problems across multiple media channels, including video, social media, digital platforms, radio, and outdoor advertising. This position is client-facing, which means that excellent presentation skills are essential for sharing your work in a succinct and compelling manner. You will be expected to independently lead campaigns while collaborating with internal teams, clients, and external agency partners. Your exceptional writing skills will be crucial in creating campaign content that not only attracts but also retains and grows an audience. Additionally, you will mentor and inspire younger designers and creatives, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Concept, write and execute innovative ad campaigns and experiences for global brands
  • Partner with art directors, designers, program managers, developers, strategists, and producers to create customer-focused solutions that deliver on advertiser objectives
  • Independently lead campaigns and collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external agency partners
  • Demonstrate exceptional writing skills to create campaign content that attracts, retains, and grows an audience
  • Utilize data-driven insights to understand customers and create impactful work
  • Present ideas and concepts to clients, agencies, and internally
  • Ideate for various media formats including film, print, digital, out-of-home, experiential, and social
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet aggressive deadlines
  • Mentor and inspire younger designers and creatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience at advertising agencies and/or in-house creative departments
  • Must have an online portfolio URL demonstrating big thinking that can extend into any medium
  • Strong understanding of digital and social platforms and their use within marketing
  • Exceptional writing skills that demonstrate the ability to create campaign content that attracts, retains, and grows an audience

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote
  • Experience developing cross-functional relationships with product, consumer research, and marketing teams to develop strategy and consumer insights
  • Experience leading creative development from concept to delivery
  • Experience managing creative teams including designers, copywriters, and external agencies
  • Experience presenting creative concepts effectively to senior executives
