About the position

The Sr Copywriter at SGK is responsible for developing engaging and original marketing messages tailored to specific audiences, particularly in retail environments. This role involves creating the overall concept for creative briefs across various brand communications and marketing applications, ensuring high-quality standards and timely delivery of client copywriting deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures high quality standards in all Creative Design client deliverables.
  • Ensures accurate, consistent, and timely completion of basic to intermediate level client copywriting deliverables within budget.
  • Presents and participates in planning meetings with clients and/or internal teams to develop the creative brief for assignments.
  • Meets quality standards for all assigned deliverables and recommends improvements in textual content and processes.
  • Supports Company's profitability efforts by focusing on efficient completion of assigned Creative Design activities.
  • Crafts clear and concise technical writing for operations-level client deliverables.
  • Develops client strategies and analysis in the brand/marketing space and within retail.
  • Decides the written communication of the creative vision across various brands and materials.
  • Creates and implements the textual content of client deliverables across all potential touchpoints.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism or related field
  • 6+ years progressive Communications, Journalism experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and clients
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
