About the position

The Senior Copywriter at Amp is a key member of the creative team, responsible for developing compelling content for various advertising and marketing campaigns. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in copywriting, capable of guiding junior writers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality creative work. The position emphasizes ownership of projects from concept to delivery, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and client specifications.

Responsibilities

• Concept and write a variety of content from manifestos to banner ads across multiple mediums.
• Uncover strategic insights from briefs and collaborate with teams to create compelling creative solutions.
• Take ownership of projects from concept to delivery, including research, drafting, and revising copy.
• Collaborate with design, strategy, social, media, and development teams to ensure timely delivery of creative work.
• Build rapport with clients by developing presentation decks and presenting work effectively.
• Present strategic reasoning behind copy decisions while remaining open to feedback and collaboration.
• Identify challenges as opportunities for creative solutions and proactive problem-solving.
• Stay updated on social media content best practices and trends.
• Maintain a deep understanding of style and brand guidelines, serving as a resource for the team.
• Contribute to new business efforts as needed.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a copywriter in an advertising agency or related field.
• A strong portfolio of professional and/or speculative creative work is required.
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
• Strong understanding of brand and identity development, including experience with voice and tone guidelines.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Comfortable with production processes and being on set.
• Pharma experience is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in mentoring or leading junior writers.
• Familiarity with digital marketing and online merchandising.
• Knowledge of current advertising trends and consumer behavior.
