About the position

The Sr. Customer Pricing Analyst at Avantor plays a crucial role in supporting the Strategic Partners team by prioritizing customer deliverables and projects. This position involves engaging with global commercial and finance teams to execute pricing strategies, monitor pricing performance, implement pricing processes, and ensure contract compliance. The analyst will also be responsible for providing insights and reporting on price performance, making this role integral to the company's profitability and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Strategic Partners team in prioritizing customer deliverables and projects.
  • Execute pricing strategies including list-based and net prices.
  • Monitor pricing performance through manual and automated processes.
  • Implement pricing processes and conduct analytics to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure contract compliance and monitor pricing in accordance with internal audit and SOX requirements.
  • Analyze price performance and provide insights and reporting to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Leadership on pricing analysis, evaluation, and implementation.
  • Manage pricing for specific Global Strategic Partner accounts, including performance reporting and audits.
  • Harmonize customer pricing processes globally, including year-end pricing actions and RFP processes.
  • Support internal audit and SOX initiatives related to pricing changes and compliance.
  • Train and share best practices to improve pricing culture within the organization.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions for pricing issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a business partnering role in a commercial setting.
  • Experience in strategic and international business engagement with high-level stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to identify and develop business growth opportunities.
  • Strong project leadership and self-starter capabilities.
  • Ability to work in a diverse and multicultural environment.
  • High level of numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Advanced Excel and data manipulation skills.
  • Good working knowledge of SAP and other pricing/analytical software tools.
  • Ability to produce accurate reports under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible approach to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for communication with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence software, particularly SAP and QlikView.
