About the position

The Senior Cyber Security Analyst is a vital member of the Information Security team within the Enterprise Information Technology department. This role focuses on the daily operations of security systems and the identification, investigation, and resolution of security incidents. The position requires a strong hands-on foundation in security operations and a commitment to ongoing learning and certification in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, monitor, and enhance security controls to support a comprehensive information security program.
  • Monitor various information security systems including access control, endpoint protection, data loss prevention, and security information and event management.
  • Analyze data from information security systems and report findings to management.
  • Lead forensics investigations related to information security incidents and facilitate the implementation of incident response plans when necessary.
  • Provide potential on-call after-hours support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Assurance, Information Security, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years' experience as a Security Analyst or similar role.
  • Desired certifications such as GPEN, OSCP, CEH, GCIA, GCIH, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of security controls including access control, auditing, authentication, encryption, application security, and physical security controls.
  • Proficient in operating systems such as Windows, Linux/Unix, MacOS, iOS, and Android.
  • Experience with multi-system environments and protocols including Active Directory, LDAP, VPN, DNS, TCP/IP, and others.
  • Experience with security information and event management (SIEM), vulnerability scanners, and host-based security systems.
  • Experience with penetration testing, WAF, and application security is a strong plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-driven with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Incident, Problem, and Change management processes in enterprise environments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with application testing and security.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
