About the position

GovCIO is seeking a Sr. Cyber Security Engineer to provide operational and integration support for a multi-vendor infrastructure, focusing on cybersecurity and network systems. This hybrid remote position requires expertise in threat analysis, forensics, and network security, with responsibilities that include developing cyber threat profiles and assessments, and providing forensic support for investigations. The role involves collaboration with a team of engineers to implement and modernize cybersecurity solutions for government and military clients, particularly in Eastern Europe and South America.

Responsibilities

• Correlate threat data from various sources to identify hackers and potential threats.
• Provide assessments and reports to enhance situational awareness of cyber threats.
• Develop cyber threat profiles based on geographic and actor analysis.
• Produce cyber threat assessments based on entity threat analysis.
• Provide computer forensic and intrusion support for high-tech investigations.
• Research and maintain proficiency in cybersecurity tools and techniques.
• Support integration and modernization efforts for partner nations and allies.
• Document all network, system, and cybersecurity changes and develop required documentation.
• Lead a team of engineers and confidently brief stakeholders on cybersecurity efforts.

Requirements

• 9+ years of experience in Cybersecurity or related field.
• Active Secret or NATO Secret Clearance.
• Valid US Passport and willingness to travel internationally up to 40%.
• Proficiency with network drawing and productivity tools (Visio, Lucid, AutoCAD).
• Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+CE, CCNA Security).
• Extensive experience with Cyber Network Defense (CND) and Cybersecurity Operations.

Nice-to-haves

• Relevant Master's Degree in a related field.
• Military background in Signal, Communications, Cyber, or IT.
• Cybersecurity certifications such as JNCIS-SEC, JNCIP-SEC, GIAC/GSEC.
